We are seeking a results-driven and excellence-obsessed Business Development Manager to join our high-performance team. This role is laser-focused on driving business growth through the acquisition of new clients, nurturing of existing relationships, and the delivery of exceptional client care. Working in close collaboration with the entire organisation, the successful candidate will help identify, shape, and close commercial opportunities that align with Ovio’s strategic goals.

Proposed Responsibilities:

  • Generate and convert new business opportunities aligned with Ovio’s strategic growth targets.
  • Develop and execute targeted growth strategies to attract new agency and end-client relationships.
  • Deliver world-class client onboarding and relationship management, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and develop service innovations and commercial opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs.
  • Attend industry events, networking opportunities, and meetings to build relationships and promote the Ovio brand.
  • Create and deliver compelling client presentations, proposals, and solutions.
  • Work closely with marketing to align campaigns and messaging with business development priorities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline reporting.
  • Champion Ovio’s values, particularly excellence and integrity, in every client interaction.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in business development, ideally in the payroll, employment intermediary, recruitment, or B2B services space.
  • Unrelenting focus on growth, performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Obsessed with delivering excellence in every detail of the sales and client care process.
  • Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Confident communicator and relationship builder, both face-to-face and virtually.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively to meet shared objectives.
  • Driven, tenacious, and self-motivated, with a deep sense of personal accountability.
  • Skilled in using CRM systems, pipeline management tools, and sales analytics.
